Bugbear of Low Capacity Use THE government has granted an in crease of Rs 34.74 a tonne (Rs 1.74 per bag of 50 leg) in the retention price of cement to compensate the industry for the cost escalation in its critical inputs upto May 1981, Though the announcement to this effect was made on July 23, according to a notification issued by the cement controller, this retention price increase is effective with retrospective effect from May 3, 1981.
