Production Still behind Orders Hansavivek BHARAT EARTH MOVERS has fared well during 1979-80. Sales, profits and margins are all higher compared to the previous year. Production of earthmoving equipment increased from 632 to 661 numbers; though 666 numbers were sold against 705 numbers. Turnover, however, increased by 19 per cent compared to the previous year, because of sale of high- value equipment and increase in sale prices. Sale of spares of earthmoving equipment also increased by 28 per cent. Production programme of rail- coaches had to be curtailed because of reduction and delay in supply of wheel-sets by the Railway Board, and 236 coaches could be produced
