Thirdly, scheduled caste labour households had the highest incidence of debt, i e, 71 per cent in 1974-75; and the proportion had gone up from 66 per cent in 1964-65. The corresponding proportion for scheduled tribe households was 50 per cent in 1974-75 and 47 per cent in 1964-65.
