Growth plus Sophistication Hansavivek KAMANI ENGINEERING CORPORATION has well maintained during 1977-78 the steady progress achieved in the preceding few years. Supply of fabricated towers and connected material continues to be the company's major activity which accounted for about Rs 24 crores of revenue. The construction activity both in India and abroad increased significantly and brought in revenue of Rs 14 crores which was more than double that of the previous year's Rs 6 crores. The company's construction competence has further widened with the commissioning, for the first time in India, of the sophisticated and high value tension stringing equipment for the execution 400 KV bundle conductor lines. In the field of heavy civil engineering, KEC successfully met the revised completion targets on 210 MW power station at Nasik for MSEB. A record achievement was the completion and shipment in time to the buyers' satis faction of certain urgent export orders from Libya and Iran in a short period of 4 to 6 months against a normal period of one year. The rolling mill unit at Jaipur also experienced increased activity with 68 per cent rise in production over the previous year.
