THE Government employees, employees of semi-Government institutes and school-teachers in Maharashtra must be wondering as to what exactly they accomplished alter their latest strike. It is true that the sriking employees displayed an amazing sense of unity and strength of their respective organisations over a long period of 54 days. To have achieved an almost complete unity of about a million workers and maintain it over such a long period of time certainly calls for a high degree of organisation on the part of the leaders and dedication on the part of the workers. With all this, however, it has to be faced that in respect of achieving anything concrete, this strike has not been a success.
