No Anchorage for the Janata Romesh Thapar WHEREVER the Janata government has to deal with problems round a table, it does a fairly good job. Many economic, and even political, decisions have been confronted and tackled. But ask our new rulers to get a hold of labour eruptions, university closures, communal tensions. straightforward violence and the blatant violations of the law by Indira Gandhi, her son and his mafia and the Congress (I), the answer is a long and uncomfortable silence. The prime minister and home minister every now and then break this silence with threatening noises, but no expectsaction.
