Integrated programme to meet socio economic needs of villages

Shri P.C.D. Nambiar, Chairman, State Bank of India, stated in Hyderabad on Friday, the 31st March, 1978, that in keeping with the Union Government's economic policy the Bank had introduced in 1977 an Integrated Rural Development Programme on a pilot basis in 250 of its adapted villages. He was addressing the shareholders at the Bank's twenty-third annual general meeting.
