Many-Sided Expansion Hansavivek SPENCER AND COMPANY is expanding its business. It has finalised a scheme for modernisation and expansion of the West End Hotel, Bangalore, which along with Connemara Hotel of Madras and Savoy Hotel of Ootaca- mund will now be owned by the wholly-owned subsidiary, Spencer International Hotels, In accordance with the collaboration agreement entered into between this subsidiary and Indian Hotels Company, the latter will be associated with the marketing and operation of the West End and Savoy Hotels, The subsidiary has been oifi- ly authorised to appoint the world famous architects. Belt Collins and Associates, Honolulu, Hawaii, for landscaping and architectural concepts with regard to the renovation and expansion of West End. Since Bangalore is the fastest growing city in South India and on account of its salubrious climate and proximity to tourist attractions, West End, after completion of the planned development, should be an attractive proposition. An Indian restaurant at Paris named 'Indra', in which Spencer has invested and has management interests, commenced its operation in March last ami has already earned the reputation of being the finest Indian speciality restaurant in France.
