January 29, 1077 Ajit Roy writes : SYNCHRONISING with the Prime Minister's recent broadsides against the present-day CPI, presumably intended to achieve a softening up of that party with a view to beating it down to more abject terms of collaboration on the eve of the contemplated elections, there has been a barrage of stink-bombs against the Indian communist movement as a whole. The ammunition for this barrage is being provided by Samachar, the government-created news-agency, whose professed aim is to cleanse the news-media of lies and calumnies.
