A FALL-OUT of the President's illness, for treatment of which it was decided to send him to the US, appears to have been the decision to permit the import of two linear accelerators'. The merits of the decision to import these: very expensive machines have been questioned. To discuss this issue, it is necessary to review briefly the existing facilities for treatment of cancer in the country and in that context also examine the correctness of the decision to send the President to US for treatment.
