The age old wage structure was last revised in 1965 A charter of demands was framed by the Employees' Federation in late 1973 and the demands were taken up with the vice-chancellors as well as the minister of education, but these were turned,. down. Then came the Emergency and the movement of these non-teaching employees remain ed dormant.
