Clippings Mr C Rajeswara Rao, general secretary of the CPI, yesterday clarified his party's policy towards the Congress and said that it would continue to support it so long as its (Congress's) foreign policy was based on friendship with socialist countries and its economic policy on self-reliance and growth. The Times of India, November 29 Soviet president Nikolai Podgorny will pay an official visit to India shortly, most probably in January, His visit is of special significance in keeping with the recent policy of Moscow of sending senior leaders to this country for consolidating the mutual friendship and co-operation.
