Willard India

WILLARD INDIA commenced commer-cial production of automotive batteries in March 1975, but could not achieve planned output with technical problems of the plant. During the year ended June last, sales were barely Rs 17 lakhs and the outcome was a net deficit of Rs 86 lakhs, after providing Rs 63 lakhs for depreciation and development re-bate. Barring receipt of some machi-nery for industrial batteries and some moulds for production of containers of automotive batteries, the project stands completed, but its cost has gone up from Rs 361 lakhs to Rs 457 lakhs.
