MORANI CHEMICALS, manufacture of benzoic acid and sodium benzoate, has developed technology for produc-tion of benzaldehyde by an oxidation process. The product is free from chlorine and has been approved by major consumers and importers. Com-mercial production is to commence soon. Initially, the company will manufacture 100 tonnes per annum and it expects to double the capacity from next year.
