Rough Weather

February 22, 1975 the old ammunition of the Licence Scandal and related matters has been added the handling of the investigation of the assassination. And, of course, the real purpose is somehow to put the Prime Minister in the dock for various 'sins of omission and commission. In the ruling party there is unhappiness over the unhealthy political atmosphere, and a great deal of uncertainty about what needs to be done. But the mood has to change if the party is to act. Jayaprakash Narayan, still without a programme and surrounded by the opportunist politicians who seek the very same perks and privileges which they denounce, continues to gather crowds. This is indicative of the lack of direction at every level of the country's life
