Scaling New Profit Peaks Hansavivek GREAVES COTTON'S turnover and profits during the year ended June 1975 reached new peaks in its 56-year history, despite increase, in interest rates, escalation in costs of materials and labour, and a Rs 14-lakh decline in the income from investment Profit margins were slightly lower than in the previous year, but the recommended un- changed dividend, of 12 per cent, was still covered 3.2 times by earnings. Greaves's diamond tool works performed satisfactorily, in turnover and profitability, though its production was disturbed for some time when the operations were shifted to its own factory in the MIDC estate at Marol.
