The execution responsibilities for India's ground segment responsibilities in SITE are with the Indian Spare Research Organisation (ISRO) and the All India Radio (AIR). It is also expected that even if there is no ongoing satellite programme after 1976, the villages in this experiment will continue to receive a TV service from trie terrestrial transmitters (R Chander, 'Out of SITE', Youth Times, November 1973).
