In addition to seafoods, the Thana plant was also en- igaged in diversified activities which enabled it to export meat and froglegs last year. Exports increased by Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 82 lakhs. Various projects are being reviewed with the objective of increasing the range of products for export. The company has also intensified its research and development programme to create products The Week's Companies for local and export markets. Development work on a new health biscuit in association with the medical profession is in the last stages of completion. An up-to-date microbiological laboratoryhas been established at the Thana factory to provide new facilities
