The Food Minister, and his colleagues, have been unable to provide food. They do not suffer from any particular guilt complex on account of that; after all, has not the Prime Minister herself assured the world that such reports of deaths from starvation are the outcome of mean machinations on the part of the opposition? Anyway, happier days are here again, the cricket test match will soon be on in Calcutta's Eden Gardens, the Food Minister who is also the Sports Minister is conscious of his consequential social obligations.
