Israel and Africa Rahul Burman THE isolation of Israel from Black Africa has been one of the more important products of the October war. A year and a half ago, Israel had diplomatic relations with all the members of the Organisation of African Unity, except the eight Arab and/or Muslim countries in the north, and Guinea, which had severed relations after the June war in 1967. Now Israel has diplomatic relations with only four small countries, all almost entirely dependent on South Africa
