Industrial Finance- Chasing Figures

 HOW is the performance of an industrial term-financing institution, such as the ICICI which has just released its annual report for 1973, to be judged? The figures of assistance in different forms, sanctioned and disbursed, are at best only slightly more revealing than, for instance, statistics of the number of industrial licences and letters of intent issued. And when investment costs have been going up as sharply as they have been recently, these figures are scarcely compaiable from year to year.
