Performance of Private Limited Companies

THE Reserve Bank's study of 701 selected medium and small private limited companies shows that the performance of these companies deteriorated in 1970-71 as compared with 1969-70. The overall rates of growth in sales (net of rebate and discount) and the value of production at 4.2 per cent and 5.4 per cent, respectively, in 1970-71 were substantially lower than the corresponding rates at 9.0 per cent and 9.6 per cent, respectively,
