The March election, the Awami League stalwarts must be gloatingly calculating, is now safely in the bag: avenge-the-insult-to-the-father- of-the nation is as catchy a slogan as one could manufacture at such short notice in the present difficult economic situation, and the party ought to be grateful to those who have gifted them the occasion.
