Some Notes on the Poona Riots

SALAUDDIN is a peon in the Poona College. It was not safe to stay at home. So be thought of moving into the College premises. He packed his belongings in a metal trunk and was on his way to the College with his family and a friend. As he was passing through Nanchowdi Chowk a mob accosted him, attracted by the trunk he was carrying. No one waited to see what was in the trunk. Salauddin was stabbed. His family was taken to safety by his friend.
