THE participation of Jose Rodriguez Elizondo of the Communist Party of Chile and myself in the International Seminar on Imperialism, Independence, and Social Transformation in the Con_ temporary World, held in New Delhi in March 1972 with the attendance among many others of Harry Magdoff, has given rise to an ideological (non) de_ bate in Chile. Rodriguez Elizondo pub_ lished in E Siglo, the official newspaper of his party, an article taking exception to my participation in the New Delhi seminar.
