Bombs and Bluster

THERE is a brutish animality about US foreign policy tantrums which defies sane analysis. If one does not totally accept the hypothesis that the US military- industrial machine would be critically undermined without the impetus of an ongoing war in Vietnam, it is difficult to comprehend Nixon's sudden resumption of the blanket bombing of North Vietnam.
