On Differential Rates of Interest

A K Dasgupta A differential in rates of interest is justified on economic grounds. Since the banking system today enjoys a virtual monopoly of its service, and since a way can be found to prevent transfer of funds, discrimination between weaker customers and stronger customers is feasible within limits and is consistent with the principle of maximum profits.
