If the export target set for this year is to be achieved, exports will now have to increase to a monthly average of Rs 156 crores during the remaining four months. A number of major export commodities may, as usual, pick up faster during the latter half of the year. But, even so, there are a number of countervailing factors that might slow down their anticipated growth.
