Boyanich has said highly favourable conditions exist in Yugoslavia for the shareholding system. He has rebutted doctrinaire communists who say that the system of shareholding would mean a restoration of capitalism. Boyanich has stated that "socialist stock is absolutely justified." The shareholders would have to buy and sell, and Boyanich claims that a stock exchange need not be capitalist, but could be a socialist stock exchange! Branko Horvat, a Yugloslav economic theoretician, has suggested the introduction of a system of "share-bonds" which would not provide the right to ownership but would provide a voice in management. The shares would be transferable on a financial market. The keenness to deny the concept of ownership is a rider to ensure the socialist protestations of the Yugoslav system.
