Peace or War

Peace or War? Romesh Thapar EVERYONE is in a generous mood. Naturally, we are at an euphoric mont when we imagine that perhaps the civil and military system we have built up is not as hopeless as we had once imagined. Indeed, we feel we have blinded ourselves to our solid achievements. Criticism is at a discount. The revanchist outpourings of the Jagadguru of Puri make no impact. Even the ridiculous spectacle of our ambassador in Islamabad, on repatriation, throwing himself on all fours on the tarmac of Palam Airport (embracing mother Earth, no doubt!) does not disturb. Yes, we have seldom exhibited such confidence.
