BLUNDELL Eomite Paints' chairman, E B Calvert, told shareholders at the annual meeting that both sales and profits for the first five months of the current year had exceeded those re-corded in the same period last year. This, indeed, is satisfactory as far as it goes since during the year ended June 1971, the company achieved a 49 per cent advance in pre-tax profit following a 9 per cent rise in sales.
