UNDP Projects

FIVE new development projects in In-dia will begin this year with United Nations assistance. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has allocated $ 3.4 million to the five pro-jects, The Indian Government will make available the equivalent of about $ 3.6 million in counterpart contributions. The five projects are: development Surveys of 10 fishing ports, assistance to the Central Water and Power Research Sta-tion, testing facilities to measure "creep'' in heat-resistant steel, groundwater sur-vey in Rajasthan and Gujarat and mine-ral survey in Uttar Pradesh.
