NEW DELHI-Turning from Politics to Economics

 foreign policy towards South Asia is now taking place. It would be over- optimistic to think that a new policy can be worked out and announced by Peking in the coming weeks. It would WITH the presentation this week of the revised estimates of revenue and expenditure of the Union government during the current year and the estimates for the coming financial year, attention will turn again to issues of economic policy and management after several months when politics dominated the scene. The political uncertainties have at last been resolved. A strong and stable government is in the saddle at the Centre, in a position to take firm decisions and implement them with confidence and authority.
