Bumper Crop Starts Moving

Bengal deshi prices firmed up by about Rs 45 a candy on export inquiry. Weather reports from the major cotton growing areas have been very satisfactory up to now. But some anxiety is being expressed at some places over excessive rains. With many crucial weeks still ahead, cotton men are keeping their fingers crossed and few are inclined to hazard a guess about the crop. All that one can say is that the crop will have to be really good to produce a significant decline in prices.
