In all, however, there are over 600 units in the organised and small-scale sectors together. Total output is valued at about Rs 75 crores per annum. About two-thirds of total production is of high-speed vertical engines and one-third of slow-speed horizontal engines. Of these, three- fourths are in the range of 5-10 HP and one-sixth in the range of 12-20 HP.
