Hybrid Maize in Karimnagar P V Krishna THE object of this inquiry is to find out the reason for variation in the degree of adoption of an improved practice between different villages within a more or less homogeneous area. Karimnagar district in Andhra Pradesh ranks high in the adoption of hybrid maize. Within this district, Karimnagar block is prominent. Though extension of hybrid maize has been done since 1954, the cultivators realised the importance and profitability of this crop only after 1957.
