However, the cotton mill industry which had been starved of raw material during 1966-67 and had to resort to short working week is now assured of sufficient raw material throughout the 1967-68 season. The crop of 65 lakh bales is being supplemented by import of 10/11 lakh bales. And there is every reason to hope that cotton prices will keep below the average for the last season.
