Satisfactory answers nave not been found anywhere and, in India, interest in the subject is too recent to suggest or spell out "native solutions for native problems." There was, as expected, some erudite reliance upon foreign authorities, with marginal annotations, seeking to transplant their views but without empirical testing of imported hypotheses.
