a government" reflects the changed mood of the Congress It is now for the parties of the opposition to similarly see in clearer perspective their roles in the current political situation. Do they want to continue their ridiculous pursuit of opposition unity even if this means abdicating their responsibility as the opposition and having to occupy themselves, as they did in the last session of Parliament, with non-issues. Or will they, or some of them at any rate, realistically concede, that they are a long way yet from being an Alternative government' and turn to the many genuine issues which, the people have a right to insist, should be the subject of their exchanges with the Government?
