‘Women and Employment in India: Issues and Challenges

Call for Papers

The Centre for Development Studies, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh and Centre for Gender Studies, Institute for Human Development (IHD), Delhi are jointly organizing a national seminar on ‘Women Employment in India: Issues and Challenges’ during 19-20 March 2020 at Itanagar. The objectives of the seminar is to discuss indepth the various issues relating to women’s employment, particularly in the wake of changing and emerging labour markets. Professor Vandana Upadhyay, Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Rajiv Gandhi University and Professor Aasha Kapur Mehta, Visiting Professor and Chairperson, Centre for Gender Studies, IHD are the seminar coordinators. Those interested to contribute papers are invited to send abstracts of their papers containing objectives, scope, methodology and major findings (in not less than 500 words) by 27 January 2020. After review of the abstracts, selected scholars will be invited to contribute and present their papers in the seminar. The last date of submission of papers will be 10 March 2020. The seminar organizers will meet the travel cost of the paper presenters and will arrange their boarding and lodging at Itanagar.
