This refers to the data, analysis and a thinly-veiled suggestion on populationbased state-wise representation in the Supreme Court (SC) by Abhinav Chandrachud in his article “Regional Representation on the Supreme Court” (EPW, 14 May 2011).
The article “An Alternative Energy Plan for the Konkan” by K J Joy et al (EPW, 9 May 2009) has made two important points that are often overlooked. I submit the overlooking is intentional and not because of lack of knowledge or they being complex issues.
