outnumbered the gains. While the market exhibited very little of its previous week's bullish fervour, it continued to be in good temper. Considering the preceding sharp upswing, technical considerations favoured a pause. But that was not perhaps the only reason why the market seemed inclined to mark time. For many wondered whether the market had done the right thing in completely ignoring a number of disturbing factors within the country. The cotton textile industry in Bombay is beginning to feel the impact of power cut. Team Work Before I close, I should like to request you to join me in complimenting the management team of the company, who have been operating under very strenuous conditions indeed, with a courage and conviction of which we must be proud. I should also like you to join me in complimenting our work-force who in my view are basically sound and good, but have been under compulsive pressure for acting in the way that they do at times. While this occasion does not call for recital of our blessings and assets, we do have no greater asset than the willingness of a free and determined people, who face all problems frankly, and meet all challenges free from panic or fear.
