The reforms have changed the image of businessmen. In the days of controls, every businessman was looked upon as a criminal. Today all that opprobrium is gone. This is where the greatest promise lies, as well as the greatest peril. Although the status of the businessman has changed, his mentality has not; he is still the petty deal-cutter. This will change only when businessmen combine in their dealings with the government. And it is not only a good administration we need. We also need a social conscience.
