Capital Punishment

Precedents in capital punishment establish that a delay in executing a death sentence would become material for commuting the conviction to life. However, this delay has to be occasioned by non-judicial proceedings, and as the apex court has specified, this delay is to be computed from the day the death sentence becomes final.
