Email: bird@sancharnet.in Web site : www.birdindia.org.in 2nd National Seminar on Micro Finance - Issues and Challenges Call for Papers Centre for Microfinance, Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow, is organising its 2nd National Seminar on Microfinance - Issues and Challenges at Lucknow during July 2010. Microfinance practitioners, economists, bankers, policy makers and other stakeholders are expected to participate in the Seminar. For the purpose, papers on the broad themes mentioned below are invited from researchers/practitioners in the field of microfinance. Papers are invited under the following broad themes : 1. Tribal Economy and Micro Finance
2. SHG Bank Linkage Programme - Looking Ahead - The Roadmap
3. Migrant Workers : Tackling issues relating to remittances
Interested researchers/practitioners are requested to submit their papers, not exceeding 6000 words, latest by 30 April 2010. Abstracts not exceeding 200 words should also be submitted alongwith the papers. All papers will be reviewed for their suitability for presentation in the Seminar. Detailed guidelines for submission of papers are available on our website www.birdindia.org.in. Authors of the selected papers will be invited to present their papers in the proposed seminar. Some of the papers may be selected for publication in the seminar issue of our journal 'The microFINANCE REVIEW' to be released during the seminar for which concurrence of the authors may be expressed.
